MCCC Career Fair
Montgomery
County Community College will hold career fairs at its West Campus in
Pottstown this spring. The career fairs are free of charge and are open
to the public.

organizations which will be on hand to recruit for part-time,

Pottstown SCORE hosts Labor Law and the Small Business Workshop
Interactive
workshop for business owners with 2 to 49 employees who have concerns
or questions about the employee exposures and problems that the owner
of a small business faces and what precautionary should be taken to
avoid or prepare for such problems. The topics to be covered will
include federal labor laws, 1099 vs. W2 classifications, I9's, overtime
calculations, probationary periods, contesting unemployment claims,
employment "at-will", disciplinary action, employee handbooks, Pre-tax
Section 125 Plans and the new Cobra and Premium Subsidy Notice
Requirements.
It will cost $25 with 50% off for each additional person.

American Cancer Society Bark For Life – 1 Mile Dog Walk
At Limerick Community Park, Swamp Pike & Ziegler Road, Limerick, PA.
Registration begins at 9 AM and the ACS Bark For Life mini relay will begin at 10 AM. Activities will conclude at 1 PM.
After the walk, participants will enjoy music, dog games,
caricatures, team fundraising, Best in Show canine pictures, children’s
games, food, and much more.
Registration on a Canine Team is $10 per dog. Each team member agrees to raise $100 for the ACS Bark For Life.
Canine community participants can register on the day of the ACS Bark For Life for $25 per dog.
