Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy Volunteer Request
Dear Volunteers,

We need your help removing the invasive weed Trapa natans, European water chestnuts from the Unami Creek. It has spread from Delmont Lake into the Unami and could spread to the Perkiomen Creek. We have canoes available for volunteers to use as we paddle down the Unami hand pulling the weed from the creek.

We are hosting 4 volunteer days July 16 & 17 and August 6 & 7 from 9am-1pm. We desperately need your help! Come join us at the Musser Scout Reservation on Upper Ridge Road in Marlborough Township. Please RSVP, we have a limited number of canoes. If you plan to participate and have your own boat please bring it along! Volunteers will be getting wet and dirty so please dress appropriately. 1st Annual Elmwood Zoo Day to Benefit March of Dimes
In an effort to raise even more money for the March of Dimes, "Team Doggie Kisses" will host their 1st Annual Zoo Day at the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown. This fun event is great for the whole family. Guests will experience the numerous animals at the zoo including mammals, reptiles, and the latest exhibit which features the White-faced Saki Monkey all while supporting an important cause healthy babies.
On August 14th, $4.75 of the $11.50 adult zoo admissions and $1.50 of the $8.50 child zoo admission will be donated to the March of Dimes. Simply mention Liza Temple or Doggie Kisses when purchasing admission.
